Abstract

Shaykhul Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir al-Qadri is a legendary Islamic figure of the Indian subcontinent. He is a learned Mufassir, Muhaddith, Faqih, eminent Islamic thinker, and a shining star in the field of Islamic knowledge. He is especially well known as an exemplary teacher, eminent researcher, distinguished writer, and eloquent speaker. His life is as busy as it is varied. He can be called the reformer of the era for his unique contributions to guiding the country and nation, as well as spreading Islamic education and teaching. Muhammad Tahir al-Qadri continues to make outstanding contributions in an illustrious career. People like him are rare in spreading Islamic education. Apart from teaching, he is a unique personality in researching, writing books, and composing articles on various contemporary issues. He has published 130 books in Ilm al-Hadith. It is expected that Bengali-speaking readers will benefit more if a research-based review and evaluation of his contribution to Ilm al-Hadith is conducted. For this reason, an attempt has been made to review and evaluate Muhammad Tahir al-Qadri’s contribution to Hadith literature by providing a brief introduction to Ilm al-Hadith in this discussion article.
